Terms of Service
Effective date: August 21, 2026
Provider responsibility
Users are responsible for verifying patient information, medication doses and calculations, treatments, contraindications, destination decisions, protocol requirements, and final documentation before submission or patient care.
Automated and AI-assisted features
Automated extraction or generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. Users must review information before accepting it. PHI must not be sent through an automated processing pathway unless the deployment has completed the applicable privacy, vendor, and BAA review.
Patient information
Users may enter or upload sensitive information only when authorized to do so. The current application workflow intentionally does not collect patient names. Use of EMS Narrative Builder does not by itself establish HIPAA compliance.
Accounts and cloud services
Users are responsible for protecting account credentials and securing devices. Cloud features may depend on Firebase/Google Cloud or other third-party services and may occasionally be unavailable.
Records, recovery, and retention
Backup, synchronization, Archive, Trash, and conflict-recovery tools reduce the risk of data loss but cannot guarantee recovery in every circumstance. Organizations remain responsible for required record-retention and destruction policies.
Acceptable use
The application may not be used to intentionally falsify medical records, access another user's information without authorization, circumvent security controls, or perform unlawful activity.
Availability
The application is provided on an available basis and may be updated as clinical content, security requirements, infrastructure, or legal requirements change.
Contact
Questions may be submitted through the application's support features. A branded support address may be published as support@emsnarrativebuilder.com.
